i created this piece as part of my “ART OF SHELTERING” series.

there is a breeze through the window and soft light flowing through the skylight, a scattering of works in progress strewn through the studio and my record player spinning happy tunes. the aroma of spring through the window makes me giddy.⁣

i get to draw out of such a deep and mysterious well of truth and emotion that has been stirring and simmering personally and collectively these past couple of months and bring beauty and hope into the world that only my unique eye and hand and sensibility can bring forth in this exact way. what an honor and a privilege. what a joy!⁣

vintage ephemera, layers of acrylic paint, wintergreen oil transfer, intuitive mark making, plaster, asemic writing, and stitching all come together in this mixed media piece. complete freedom of expression.

the collage is mounted on canvas board. it can be displayed as is, but it would look great in a floating frame as well.

initialed on the front. signed, titled and dated on the reverse.
