Raw, feminine, soft as hell.

Anca Gray is a mixed-media painter known for her use of delicate materials like antique lace, vintage books, found poetry, and the inevitable splash of Lady Gray. Her work has been described as having a “raw, feminine presence” and the “simultaneous absence and presence of all colors.” A former architect, Ms. Gray’s life has the cadence of broken poetry, and that poetry is the raw material from which her work is expressed. Ms. Gray currently lives with her daughters in Chicago.
