a grand exercise in acceptance and letting go. ⁣ it feels absurd at times to cover up and let go of rich layers you’ve worked hard to build, but without that editing, the big picture is muddled and hard to take in.⁣

you slowly feel your way through it. you take breaks and comeback to it with fresh eyes. you get your hands dirty. you get frustrated with the slow process. you’re tempted to wipe the slate clean and start over fresh. every once in a while you actually do. you come back to play and presence and seeing...⁣

the only way to enjoy the process is to accept where it is going, and stay present with it. ⁣

this painting was an exercise in letting go and fully engaging with the process in a state of flow.
