my love,
today’s invitation is all about taking inventory of the stories we tell ourselves that block us from fully enjoying the creative process and tapping into the abundance of possibilities that are available to us wherever we are at on the creative journey we call life.
let's play 20(-some) questions.
please watch the video first. i walk you through the questions inside the video. i am copying them here so you can easily access them later if you'd like to revisit this exercise.
grab you journal and let's hang out.
——————————————————————————————————
where are you at in your process?
how are you connecting with your heart?
how is your heart today?
what is it showing you that is new?
what have you learned about yourself?
what is alive for you right now?
what makes you come alive that you know you haven't given yourself permission to do in a long time?
what is frustrating about your creative process?
what makes you want to give up?
what are you longing for?
what have you created that gives you hope?
what do you need to feel supported on your creative journey?
what in your physical surroundings feels like a block to your creative process?
what patterns can you notice in your choices that contribute to a feeling of being stuck? in what ways have you consistently contributed to your own suffering? in what ways have you chosen that suffering and perhaps even enjoyed it in a way?
in what way have your expectations dulled or straight up ruined your enjoyment of today?
what if you were completely selfish for one day? what if you stopped trying to be good?
what beliefs do you have about being an artist/ creator/ life artist that feel like unsurmountable obstacles towards the creative life of your dreams?
in what ways is who you are trying to become taking away from the appreciation of who you are, what you have accomplished, and your trust in your abilities and self worth?
what if you woke up tomorrow with only the things that you were grateful for today?
what beliefs do you hold about yourself, life, the creative process that are simply stories you have held on to, and not a truth you have actually experienced?
what stories about yourself and the world have you lived with for so long that you have become them? which ones of those stories no longer serve you?
what if you are exactly where you need to be?
