do you ever get fixated on something you want or tell yourself you need to the point you can't appreciate or enjoy what you already have?
fallen into the trap of thinking that if you only had better stuff or tools, you'd be happier, more productive, or more creative?
approaching life with a mentality of lack becomes a huge block to creativity and abundance. whatever you focus on a thing you "need" to legitimize your artistry or enjoy your life more, you have essentially put that thing on a pedestal. now you are embodying the energy of lack, which will manifest as resistance.
nothing gets me out of that pattern of stagnancy more than using my creativity and resourcefulness to mend something that i already have, fix, rearrange, organize, and truly enjoy the gifts in my life. it returns me to my power and the energy of magnetism, opens the door to possibility, and invites abundance.
here is your final mission for the he{art} PORTAL pre-game.
find something in your home or studio that could use some mending and give it your love.
maybe it's a a piece of clothing that you haven't been wearing because it has a rip or stain, but you are still keeping because you love it or it has sentimental value. maybe it's a corner of your house that isn't being used or loved because it's impractical or uncomfortable or plain doesn't work for you. or a piece of furniture that needs some love. or maybe it's a broken tool.
make something to love and enjoy out of something you already have. it's a potent creative practice.
have fun!
