hello, creator of worlds,

i'm about to put you up to some profound mischief.

first off, you are going to draw your prompt from this list:

charcoal, egghshells, cheesecloth, tissue paper, lace, tea bags, dirt, wax, hair, canvas, yarn, coffee, plaster, cardboard, dyes, gesso.

you know what to do. write them each on a little piece of paper, fold them up, put them in a bowl, and draw one. if you are tempted to draw again, satisfy your curiosity. but stick with the first prompt you draw. (unless you absolutely can not get your hands on the material you first drew)

got your material assignment? time to explore.

play with your material with wild abandon, don't just "use" use it.

explore the possibilities with openness and curiosity, as if you met it for the first time. let your inner child delight in getting her hands dirty.

ask a lot of questions of it. listen to what it has to tell you. go on adventures together. uncover the abundance inherent in simplicity.

enjoy watching my adventures with "charcoal” in the attached video.

have more fun than you think it’s reasonable!

love,
-anca.
