hello, i’m anca gray - liberation artist, shadow alchemist, rebel mystic, and generally up to profound artistic mischief.
my devotion is to holding up the mirror so magical creative women can remember their true radiance, come home to themselves, and create the art and lives their hearts are longing for.
in my paintings i explore the life and history contained in discarded objects: vintage books, antique lace, rusty findings, kitchen scraps, and other assorted bits and found things. in processing these collected fragments into abstract and figurative paintings, i allow their stories to work on my own biases of brokenness and wholeness, of being and becoming.
my work is a relentless search of poetry in the debris, an affirmation of life and possibility.
